You are married to this dunya (life). “Until death do us apart”…these vows that you have said to him remain forever ingrained until the day comes. He has promised you many opportunities, happiness, heartbreak, success, gifts, jobs, you name it. So how could you not be attached to something like this? Especially when he promises you the world.
We are so caught up in life. We invest our time and effort in things that are minuscule and have little to no meaning. We pay attention to detail to negativity quite often. We spend our money on materialistic things. We say things we don’t mean. We make promises we can’t keep. We love things rather than people. We strive for perfection to the point where we’re mentally and physically drained. We forget the basic rights we have on every person. The list goes on and on…
We don’t realize the true meaning of life, the reason we are put on this Earth. The exact reason many search for years on end only to find out the true meaning when they’re on their death bed.
You were placed on this Earth to build for your next life where there is no pain and suffering, only eternal happiness. Strive to be the best person you can be and exist in this materialistic world filled with societal expectations. You may waver in your faith but just as quick as you fall, get back up just as fast.
Life is meant to be lived in such a way that you may reap the benefits of this reward in the Hereafter. Live your life pleasing the One who blew life into the very dust that you will perish into once your time expires. It just goes to show you that you will be nothing more than dust in the ground. No matter what you have in this life, you will leave with nothing, just as you were born with none. We are all equal, so treat each others as such.
Quite often its difficult to live life in such a way that you may find happiness through it all. Happiness. How do you attain that? In the materialistic things of this world? Through the attention that others give you? Peace and tranquility can only be found through Him. In serving Him. We forget that we are merely a slave of Allah. You please the creator and your life will unfold the way it was supposed to. You receive blessings upon blessings. You achieve goals and things you never thought were possible. As hard as it may seem, you take one step towards Him and He will take 10. You make the effort and He will make the rest easy for you. InshaAllah.
This life is your temporary abode. Use it in such a way. Do things you love. Find your forte, your passion. Set goals and achieve them. Always be kind to everyone you meet. Do as many good deeds as you can. Do things without expecting anything in return. Tell people you love them. Cherish the people you have in your life. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Always be humble, Alhumdulillah. Be a seeker of knowledge. Educate yourself. Learn something new everyday. Build a career you love. Strive to be a better person than you were yesterday. Aim higher. Take risks. Reflect often. And always say Alhumdulillah for the countless blessings you have.
Wake up, you’re given another chance at this thing called Life. Take it and make the most of it. After all, you never know when that day will come where you are no longer a part of this. So spend that extra time in ruku, make loads of dua, make lots of Zikr, follow the sunnah way of living, and most importantly, don’t forget the end goal: Jannah. InshaAllah.
Because in the end, the only thing you will regret is not being able to make the most of your life by doing things Allah loves.
Peace, love, and unity to all.
